Nuevo Vallarta
Nuevo Vallarta, located across the state line in Nayarit, is about 10 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. The infrastructure for this area was put in place about 25 years ago, however very slow progress in the way of development occurred until about ten years ago, when the construction boom began. With the completion of the El Tigre and Mayan Palace golf courses, the total revamping of the Los Flamingos golf course, and the general economic expansion of the greater Puerto Vallarta area, Nuevo Vallarta has finally caught on and is currently experiencing the same explosive growth as the rest of Vallarta. Nuevo Vallarta, just north of the mouth of Rio Ameca, the river that runs from the rich and fertile Ameca Valley, a 1,100 acre development, has three miles of white sand beaches. Paradise Village and the Mayan Palace are two of the largest hotels in Nuevo Vallarta with many smaller ones along the shoreline. The area has its own 300 slip marina, modern indoor shopping mall, a zoo, the US Consulate, and many fine restaurants and small businesses. The entire area has canals running throughout so that almost all properties
have water access with small boat slips. There is no way of knowing exactly
how much of Nuevo Vallarta has been built out, but a reasonable estimate
would be 50%, thus there are still many lots available for new construction.
Because this land is flat, it lacks the scenic views that are found south
of Vallarta. Consequently, even though most lots have water frontage,
they are substantially less expensive than those south of town. |
